| Currently the [[Special:Categories|categories]] are listed like so:
| |
|
| |
|
| |_ Items Classes _|
| |
| |_ Light Mage_|
| |
| |_ The Unholy Symbol of the Damned _|
| |
|

| When skills are added, each skill should be under its corresponding class and under the Skills category. This presents a problem, because the skills category must also be further split into subcategories by class.
| |
|
| |
| What do we do? Do we add all skills under the class category and the skills category? Then we would have a huge list of skills and equipment under the Mage category and a jumbled mess of skills from all classes under the Skills category.
| |
|
| |
| Do we create separate categories, i.e. "Mage items" and "Mage skills"? Then each skill would be under its own class category and each item would be under its own category as well. Perhaps also the "Mage" category would have the "Mage items" and "Mage skills" subcategories. This would have a lot of Category tags in each item. A way for each category to display all its subitems would be nice. Until I find one, please post here alternate ideas on categories. Personally, I vote for this, the separation of items and skills. Also, I don't think skills and items should be added under the "Mage" category, although "Mage" will have "Mage skills" and "Mage equipment" as subcategories. | This is a rough draft of my proposition, and I think this is what makes most sense (legend: C = Category, P = Page, categories that don't have an Item/Skill in them only point to subcategories):

| Logical and looking great.

|
| |
| So basically:
| |
|
| |
| Genres --> Classes --> Class_Skills <-- Skills
| |
| --> Class_Items <-- Items

| |
| * Indeed. So, since everyone agrees, I have amended the "item" template so we can start IDing and adding items. If Tsoraak has a current ID list, (i.e. postshat) I could maybe write a script to create all the items, so it would be mostly copy/paste, but the work can begin. | * Sorry, my post-shat equip id list is VERY incomplete. I presume you want the info in a single text file. If you want my item list, e-mail me or post here and let me know how you want the additional info like mob, pop, and area included for each item. | ** It doesn't matter if it's incomplete, at this stage we just need items. I don't care how the text files are, as long as they are separated by area OR the area is in the ID. Also, the mob should be in the ID as well. I believe your current setup is thus:
| |
| Object 'blabla' is something...
| |
| Blabla
| |
| Mob This
| |
| Area That
| |
| So just adding "Pop Yes", "Manufactured Yes", "OOG Yes" on the bottom of each one is sufficient. If you want, you can choose a default and the script i will make can assume it's not, for example, OOG if there is no OOG Yes, so you don't have to type "OOG No" or "Pop No" on each item, I can do that automatically.
