The excitement of a fallohide's life beckons to many of our children. It is a life filled with danger, but without adventure we never would have come this far from the shire to establish the burrows.

Many of our people have estabished elsewhere. Martha has joined Olaf way off in the demesnes. Many others, like my own son, have gone off to never be heard from again. The young Baggins left so long ago, not a word from him, though he never did seem to want to stay in the burrows. Burrfoot's boy says that there is a sash that the fallohides all wear when riding. It's perfect for keeping a pipeweed pouch on your waist.

Life is so different with the maturing of every new generation. When I was a boy, having a pipeful after elevensies was enough adventure for me.
