Description

The babau are the military muscle of the Tanar'ri. They carry out the bulk
of the slaughters the sect wages against the Baatezu in the Blood War. The
only demons greater than this rank of demons are the True Tanar'ri, who are
very rare and extremely deadly. The babau are fleshy creatures that have the
ability to walk the material plane, like the True Tanar'ri, but at a great
cost to their power. When confronted in their realm, the ethereal plains of
the underworld, they are extremely dangerous foes. Hulking and muscular,
they range from troll-like brutes to immense gollum-type beasts.
