Gloawan

A large, balding dwarf works hard to keep the coals of his furnace hot.

Description

Though large around the middle, Gloawan only stands about four and a half
feet tall. His thick, matted brown hair and beard have been singed many
times by the fires he keeps constantly stoked, to repair weapons and armor
for travelers who find themselves stuck within the woods. Having come to
the Falcon's Nest Tavern ten years ago, Gloawan was coaxed into starting up
a smithy, to repair the weapons and armor of those travelers who came to
the Tavern. Though a profitable venture, Gloawan is constantly harried by
fact that his furnace can never be kept burning as hot as he'd like.

Gloawan looks you over carefully then smiles a broad smile.
Gloawan says 'You've got some items in your inventory that look'
Gloawan says 'very interesting... might I have a look?'
Gloawan smiles at you.
Gloawan says 'If you are interested in a really unique item,
just say 'unique item?' and I'll tell you what I'm thinking...'

You wonder 'unique item?'
Gloawan grins to himself for a moment.
Gloawan says 'Yes, I used to work with the halflings before coming
down to work near the Falcon's Nest. They was a great bunch
of little people, and I learned quite a bit from them.
Gloawan smiles in remembrance.
Gloawan says 'The fellow I learned from was a little chap named O'laski.
Gloawan says 'He taught me this one trick about making clothing, I'll
never forget...
Gloawan ponders a few moments before explaining.
Gloawan says 'My mentor, O'laski, was really good at combining different
objects like fine metal necklaces, furs and such.
Gloawan smiles.
Gloawan says 'If you should want the item made, I think I can do it...
Gloawan says 'Just give me 50,000,000 gold so I can get my furnace
hot enough, and be sure you have the items in your inventory. I
can't guarantee it will work, and if you don't have the items, I
don't give back yer money..'
Gloawan chuckles politely to himself.
