Information

The Dragon Raid of Darkhaven refers to the events precipitating the removal of the old guilds (split by individual Class) and the introduction of the new guild system, featuring the Guild of Origin, Guild of Spirit and Guild of Nature.

The raid was an in-game storyline that had players participating in a series of quests commissioned by Duke Luther of New Darkhaven.

Quests

The first in the series of quests was to acquire vials of dragon blood from slain white dragons throughout the Realms, including Icingdeath, Gayalossen, and Phenn, among others. The vials were to be used to treat a plague that had broken out across the Realms and were to be turned in to Sonoria in Darkhaven. Each vial turned in rewarded participants with one point of Glory.

A second quest involved the hunting down of Dragon Ore -- a special item found in areas containing dragons. The ore was then to be turned in for smelting and eventually manufactured into weapons for the use of Duke Luther's guards in Darkhaven, to protect the city from a potential dragon attack. Each weapon turned in was rewarded with additional Glory.

Finally, on September 19, 2013, the dragons raided New Darkhaven. Under the command of Kilgharrath, a special quest Mobile, a host of small white dragons were spawned every few minutes at different locations in the city, especially in the vicinity of the existing guilds. Players were tasked with killing the dragons and occasionally confronting Kilgharrath himself.

The dragons destroyed the former guild headquarters, giving rise to the guild amalgamation that saw the introduction of the Guilds of Origin, Spirit and Nature.

Kilgharrath was not slain.
