IP check
Definition
An IP check is when the game checks how many characters are logged into the mud from your connection - essentially, to what degree you are multiplaying. The mob or room will probably then act differently depending on the result of the IP check.
If you have two characters link-live, then you are termed to be 'IP2', for three you are IP3 and so on.
Examples
- You can only enter the Village of Edo if you are IP1.
- If you fight B'rakkum at higher than IP2, he will do more damage.
- You need to be IP3 to fight the ghost of Lord Kahl or he'll kick you out of his room.
- If you're higher than IP1 in Lake of Tich'Pyga, the Undertow trans room won't work.
