Help File

Summoning players against their will or low level
players to aggressive and/or higher level areas
constitutes harassment.

See: LAWS HARASSMENT

This spell summons a character from elsewhere in the
Realms to your own location and stuns your character.
Characters who are fighting cannot be summoned. Do not
summon aggressive mobiles into an area lower in level
than the one from which they came, and do not summon
aggressive mobiles into Darkhaven or pkill town. For
clarification, if the mob is a higher lvl than the lower
lvl range of an area, should not be summoned there.

Information

This will immediately transfer the target from their location to the caster's room. The spell will fail if:

  • caster is in a noastral room
  • target is in a safe, private, nosummon or norecall room
  • target is fighting
  • target is more than two levels above caster's level
  • target is flagged as nosummon
  • target is outside the "hard range" (ie. the level restriction) of the area the caster is in
  • target's vs spell throws succeed. This applies only when target is a mob.
  • target is faded

The astral disruption rules also apply.

For inter-area summons, there's also a reduced percentage of success: the penalty is bigger when caster and target are not of the same type, ie. a player summoning a mob or vice versa. In such a case the target will receive a "You feel a strange pulling sensation..." message.

If successful, the caster is left in a stunned state.
