The Southern Mountain Range has long been an important
avenue for explorers and adventurers of the realms,
connecting the City of Darkhaven to the lands of the far
south. After the Cataclysm, explorers discovered two
routes through the mountains, the High Road, and the Low
Road. However, there remained another route - one which
was used as an integral source of trade in the early days,
before the great uplifting. This trade route was known to
intrepid explorers and merchants alike, and was once
bustling with activity, bringing great wealth from the
mountain King to Darkhaven. Those days have long since
passed, and the trail became overgrown and was left from
adventurer's maps, becoming a thing of myth and legend.
That is, until recently, when the initial trade route was
re-discovered by a band of merchants searching for safe,
new ways to connect the cities of the north to the riches
of the south. The trade route is much quieter these days,
but can still provide willing adventurers with a path
through the great mountains of the south.
