An enormous, black scorpion is aiming his arsenal of stinger and pincers at you.

Description
That's a big scorpion. Really big. The top plate of this thing's shell is like a little 9 inch shield. From beneath this black, shining plate, the creatures little legs and head emerge. The little legs and head are nothing beneath the curving, armoured tail curving up to hold the large, venomous stinger high above the armored little battle unit's body. This thing is scary to look at. The phrase "He's just as scared of you as you are of him" probably doesn't apply here. This guy just views you as another irritant interupting his scuttle across the sand.
