|notes = The Lunatic is an easy kill, but is arguably one of the more interesting fights you will have in the game. This is due to a few factors. The first is that his name never presents itself as "The Lunatic," with one exception (we'll get to that later). He is, however, keyworded 'Lunatic.' Instead, he takes one of several (seemingly random) renames per spawn, from Free-Lord of Salburg to Admiral of the Ghugsibi. Now, on the we will get to that -- the second factor that makes Lunatic interesting is that he will knock potions out of your hands when you try to quaff. His damage, with sanctuary, is quite manageable, but the potion program makes him tricky. You can expect to actually quaff about one in five potions you attempt to quaff, and the ones he knocks away aren't used/fumbled whatsoever (you do not get their effect, but you also do not lose the potion). To deal with the program you can either spam quaff, or flee out of the room (provided the area hasn't repopped and trapped you in there) and quaff in the room above him.}}
