Description

This aging man is covered in an old, worn robe that bears the mark of the
lily, a sign he was once a follower of Nae'trelle, the Goddess of Innocence.

Notes

Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence looks up and draws back his hooded robe, allowing you to see his face.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'Allow me a moment stranger, as I have a 'tale' I wish to tell if you feel you are up for it.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence shifts slightly.

You say 'tale'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'The tale I speak of begins many years ago, in a simpler time before the world as we know it changed. The deity destroyers, led by the Queen of lies and deceit, named Pseulak, hunted down and destroyed all the old gods and goddesses.'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence shifts slightly as he recounts his tale.
'In the days leading up to The Shattering, the followers of Nae'trelle were given warning that a darkness was approaching. When our Goddess was the first destroyed, we barricaded ourselves in her temple, near the town of Thalos.'
'We were sure that Naetrelle's temple would be next to be destroyed, so we began setting up elaborate defenses to protect ourselves from the deity killers.'
'We dug deep into the bowels of the earth and created traps and puzzles so that we could safely hide away both ourselves and our knowledge from those bent on our destruction. Sadly, we were still not secure enough though...'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence sighs loudly.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'say 'continue' if you wish to hear more.'

You say 'continue'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence nods solemnly.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'A charming creature with a multitude of eyes came to our door begging assistance and promising knowledge on how to further protect ourselves. We were initially concerned that he may be a minion of Pseulak, so some wanted to turn him away...'
But, we had a strict policy that stated no creature should be turned away from the protection of the light, and so he was allowed entry. A few of us quickly realized our mistake, but not before the creature had done its damage.
Within only a few days, our temple priests had been placed under some sort of spell. They no longer spoke as rational people, but spoke of protecting themselves against the 'great invasion'.
This was all done at the bidding of their new master, and the temple's new Lord, Ghraak. My throat is parched, if you wish to hear more, I would appreciate a drink of some kind...

You give a dragonskin to Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence drinks water from a dragonskin.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'Ahh, excellent. My thanks adventurer. You seem like a trust worthy sort. If you are interested in a little coin, I may have a 'job' for you...'

You say 'job'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'Excellent, I had thought you might be interested in this.'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence smiles happily.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence exclaims 'I have told you of the fate that befell my temple, of how the multi-eye'd creature came to us in our time of despair and destroyed all that we were. As much as it goes against the very fabric of my training, I wish to see our temple members avenged!'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'Unfortunately, I escaped the temple before many of the traps were layed to defend it against invaders, so have little knowledge about how to broach the defenses.'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence exclaims 'If you were successful in finding the creature, though, I would reward you greatly if you destroyed its eyes. It doesn't even have to be all of them, but the more of them you destroy the greater the reward!'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'If you were to destroy the creature outright, I hear that it had many interesting items it kept locked in a chest, deep in the bowels of the temple... You would be welcome to keep those.'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'If you are interested in attempting this feat, just say 'Your temple shall be avenged!' and I will tell you more.'

You exclaim 'Your temple shall be avenged!'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence grins evilly.
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'My love for Naetrelle and my temple brothers and sisters runs deep, so deep in fact that I am willing to spend all that I was able to rescue from the temple to see the creature who destroyed it brought down.'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'For each eye of that beast that your blade lands the killing blow upon, you shall be rewarded. Should you kill the creature itself, I shall further reward you and give you leave to take anything from the temple you find of value.'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence exclaims 'Be sure not to tarry after their deaths, and return to me quickly for your reward!'
Amory, a former priest of the Goddess of Innocence says 'The temple is an empty shell for me now and my heart has hardened. I will give you this one piece of advice before you take your journey. Follow the lily, for knowledge of this sacred emblem is essential in unravelling the mysteries the temple holds.'
