- Syntax:
cast scry <target>
Help File
This spell will allow the character to scry (look) in to nearby rooms. After casting the spell, the character needs only to "look" in the desired direction. Thieves have an innate ability to scry.
Information
Under the effect of this spell, one may see into adjacent rooms by typing "look <direction>" with the same amount of details the look command gives for the room one is in.
This is particularly helpful when exploring areas you have no knowledge of, because of a particular kind of room called "death trap": some explicit hint about the room's status is usually given in its extended description.
Also it may help you avoid some particularly dangerous wandering mob or find your way out of a maze.
Some objects, like the crystal lens, can give you the same affect.
