Commands cover the basic game needs: functions that let you move your character in a certain direction, communicate with other players, access the help files, close the game session and so on.

Contrary to [[skills]] and [[spells]], commands are available to players of all classes without any practice or learning as soon as they reach the required level.

A command is any word that the Realms of Despair server will recognize from command line. These range from movement (northeast) to information (score) to client settings (config). The exception are commands that fall under the skill list since skills are classified differently. There are several in-game listings of commands: hlist, help and commands.
