Wiki Syntax
The syntax used for editing this site is the same as for Wikipedia. The syntax can be found on this page.
Guidelines
An important thing to remember is that this is an encyclopedia, so if something in your sentence is an item, area, mob, spell, class, race, ability, etc, you should link to it. For example, if you mention somewhere in a sentence the area A Moment in Nature, it should be linked (and make sure it's spelled correctly). Linking wherever it is mentioned rather than once in paragraphs/texts is encouraged.
When areas/items/mobs are removed, instead of being deleted the pages should be added to the OOG category.
When the mob/area/item name has an article before it (the Ring of Wizardry, the Village of Tar'pa Cithm), it should be added in the category with the article omitted, like so: , . Please mind the capitalisation.
Stubs
If you have found an article that is not very extensive, or you want to create an article but you don't know how, create it and add the keyword stub at the bottom of it. That will display a notice that it should be extended and will add it to the Stubs category so that people can find and expand it.
Cleanups
If you have found an article whose not quality is on par with the rest of the site, please clean it up or add a cleanup keyword to the top of it. That will display a notice that it should be cleaned up and add it to the Cleanup category so that people can find and edit it.
Templates
To write/edit a page, please copy/paste the following templates (they will be updated if something changes). Please do not deviate from the templates. If a section (map, links, etc) doesn't exist, just omit all of it (do not write the headline).
When you are adding ASCII descriptions, make sure all the empty lines have a space in them, otherwise they will break.
Areas
== Area directions == * ZMud: <zmud dirs> * MUSHClient: <mushclient dirs> * General: <general dirs> == Area information == * Author: <author name> * Credits: <credits> * Level Range: <low level - high level> === Description === <description> <Note: Please remember that the description must be extracted from the mud and formatted with each line beginning with ONE space. See A Moment in Nature for details.> == Area notes == <area notes> == Area map ==   == External links == [<link URL> <link text>]    (if needed)
To find an area's Geo, see here. Also, the Geo categories are not, for example, "Otherlands", but "Otherlands Geo". That ensures that it doesn't conflict with the actual area category.
Mobs
== Description == <description> == Equipment == === Holds === * <held item 1> * <held item 2> === Pops === * <pop item 1> * <pop item 2> == Instructions == * Area: <mob area> === General === * Characters: <characters needed> * Weapons: <weapons needed> * Tunnel: <tunnel> * Status: <aggressive/neutral/pacifist> * Mob Align: <mob align (Devout/Neutral/Evil)> * IP Check: <ip check> * Spell: <spells the mob casts> === Spells === * Spells for tank: <spells needed for tanking> * Spells for others: <spells needed for hitters> * Elemental shields: Fireshield, Iceshield, Shockshield, Acidmist (select needed ones) === Directions=== <how to get there> === Notes === <various notes>    (if needed)
Items
== Identify == <Paste the item's ID here> == Information == * Mob: <mob name> * Pop: <Yes/No> * Out of game: <Yes/No> == Notes == <Various notes, e.g. multiple alignments, lower level items, etc>     (if needed)
The wearloc should be what appears on the Identify under "Locations it can be worn" properly capitalised, i.e. Light, Weapon, Armor, Treasure, Trash, etc. Insert multiple if available. Add everything that is allowed of the Genres/Classes/Aligns. If an item is wearable by all, just leave them all in.
