After obtaining at least one piece of the The Dragonlord's Battle Armor, visit Garth Obsilar in KotR
Garth Obsilar glows with an aura of divine radiance. Garth Obsilar says to you, 'Greetings, warrior.' Garth Obsilar says to you, 'Got some work for you here, if you feel up to it.' Garth Obsilar says to you, 'Ask me about Solace when you want to hear more.' You say 'solace' Garth Obsilar nods in agreement with you. Garth Obsilar says to you, 'The great Captain Mandor of Solace is a friend of mine.' Garth Obsilar says to you, 'His town is facing a disturbing threat as of late.' Garth Obsilar says to you, 'I am not at liberty to discuss it further.' Garth Obsilar says to you, 'Seek him out, Penrell, and tell him that Garth sent you.' Garth Obsilar says to you, 'Then your mission will become clearer.'
Travel to Solace and speak with Captain Mandor.
You say 'Garth sent me' Captain Mandor nods quickly to himself and looks you over, examining your gear. Captain Mandor says 'Hmmmm, yes. You may just do.' Captain Mandor says 'It would seem as though we are experiencing some difficulties in the form of a dragon.' Captain Mandor stares off absently at the portrait of himself. Captain Mandor says 'Usually we would not seek outside help, but this particular dragon has made quick work of a large portion of our townguard.' Captain Mandor says 'If you are interested in helping me with this task I can make it worth your while.'
Captain Mandor wonders 'Well, are you interested or not?'
You say 'Yes' Captain Mandor nods quickly to himself again and moves swiftly to the far side of the desk, rummaging through some papers. Captain Mandor says 'Well of course I will not send just anybody out to face a dragon that tore my guards apart.' Captain Mandor says 'You will have to prove to me your worth.' Captain Mandor stares at you, his hand lightly rubbing his chin. Captain Mandor says 'I think I shall have you go to Morgul Vale.' Captain Mandor says 'While there, dispose of 10 of those wretched orcs and southrons that wander about.' Captain Mandor says 'It will help thin the ranks of those who dare taint our fine city.' Captain Mandor says 'Before you return, I would also like you to kill the black dragon that resides in the sewers below.' Captain Mandor says 'When you have completed these tasks, return to me with proof of your deeds and I shall consider you for the task at hand.' You take note of Mandor's instructions.
Travel to morgul vale and kill the 10 orcs, and the dragon. Be sure to get the claw out of the corpse of the dragon. Every orc you kill will give you a status message.
