Description

A band of black rings the eyes of this giant hawk, all the more contrasting as
the rest of the head is white. His back and the upper section of his wings are
brown, and he sports a white belly and underwing area. The wings have prominent
black patches where they are jointed, and at the wingtips. The osprey will dive
into the lake to catch a fish. He is often seen swooping down to grab anything
at the waters surface with his strong talons.
