Definition

An IP check is when the game checks how many characters are logged into the mud from your connection - essentially, to what degree you are multiplaying. The mob or room will probably then act differently depending on the result of the IP check.

If you have two characters link-live, then you are termed to be 'IP2', for three you are IP3 and so on.
