Definition

An IP Check is when the game checks how many characters are logged into the mud from your connection - essentially, to what degree you are multiplaying. The mob or room will probably then act differently depending on the result of the IP check.

If you have two characters link-live, then you are termed to be 'IP2', for three you are IP3 and so on.

Examples

You can only enter the Village of Edo if you are IP1. If you fight Brakkum at higher than IP2, he will do more damage. You need to be IP1 to fight the ghost of Lord Kahl or he'll kick you out of his room. If you're higher than IP1 in Lake of Tich'Pyga, the Undertow trans room won't work.
