Description

The water strider stands poised atop the lake's surface before zipping away on 
its long, skinny middle and hind legs, which snap forward and back, propelling
the bug very quickly across the surface of the water. The water strider eats 
mostly insects stuck in the surface film, and talks to fellow striders by 
making ripples in the water.
