This page will list topics of consideration in regards to the wiki in general. Things that are being worked towards, things that need to be done, suggestions, etc. Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)

Current

Templates

  • We need people looking at the Template:Spell and deciding what we want the final look to be and also if we have every field possible that a spell could be identified or categorized by. With parser working, you can see the example section I've setup using the spell Heal. You can also see I've put the field mana in it but left it blank since I didn't know how much mana it costs, but once that field is filled in, it would automatically show up on the page. I also showed how you could add a section not in the template to the bottom, in this case notes. However, notes could be included in the template, it just shows how, if someone required it, they could add an additional unique piece of information, although it would probably be better if the template just got updated. Skace 16:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
    • I'll also work on creating a template for some of the other things. Skace 16:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
      • Template:Mob is complete! Check it out. May need some clarification on it's use. Skace 15:12, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Classes

  • Unless you object in any way, I plan to update the rest of the class pages similar to Warrior. I was wasting for some feedback, but would like to complete that piece and get it out of the way, so I will do that when I get a chance. Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)
    • Fine by me, if you use a headline for the text on top :( Is it possible to do this with a template too? Poromenos 05:46, 30 May 2008 (CDT)
  • We need to brainstorm for additional class information. Right now we have what is available in the game. But I think the class pages should answer some obvious questions, like what are good base stats for each class? Can I go devout on my cleric to learn a devout spell and then go back to evil and keep using it? That kind of stuff. I'm not sure what the section would be called, possibly hints or tips or notes or something. But I think that is the stuff that really helps people. Also, a Mage weighing in on the benefits of the paths and deciding which is right for you would be really good too. Skace 15:15, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Items/Areas/Mobs/Commands

  • There is very little reason to update any of these pages without first seeing if we can't get set templates, as any of the work will need to be redone. Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)

Information Pages

  • I doubt a template will work with information pages since they really don't have any set structure. We can try, but I think these are better left as manual pages. Which is why I plan to spend most of my time updating these while the templates get squared away. Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)

Complete

Spam Accounts

  • Is there any way to clean up all the spam accounts in the user list? Is this something I could do? Let me know. Skace 18:30, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
    • I don't think so, I already deleted all users without email addresses so there shouldn't be many more left... I don't think it's that big of a deal though, noone ever looks at that... Poromenos 20:26, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Navboxes

  • I ported over the Template:Navbox but it makes your server crap out. Any idea why this would happen? Is it a hardware limitation or does it just need more memory allocated to it. I can edit the page if need be, it's not a show stopper, just wanted to let you take a look first incase we come across this again. Skace 17:06, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
    • Template:- does it too. Skace 17:13, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
      • Jesus, that thing is huge. Do we need the entire page? Poromenos 20:54, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
        • It's just a lot of examples, but I think it's a problem php is having with memory allocation. I can shorten that page or even remove it and have people refer back to wikipedia if necessary. Skace 00:38, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
          • It's that it's a huge page, and it takes a lot of memory... I don't think any of the current contributors would like to read all of that, frankly... Could you just link to Wikipedia, which would be more up to date anyway? Poromenos 08:40, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Hideable Bars

  • Hideable bars are part of common.js, You added the css but I think we still need the javascript if possible. The JS file is linked here Skace 17:06, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
    • All you need to do to install that is go to MediaWiki:Common.js and paste it in there. Same for common.css, but I've done both already. Just keep it in mind for the future. Poromenos 20:39, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Parser Functions

  • These still appear to be broken. If you could check into that Poro, I'd appreciate it. When they work, the next line should show true. Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)
  • True Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)
    • I guess I shouldn't have skipped a setup step :P Poromenos 05:37, 30 May 2008 (CDT)
      • Works perfectly, thanks! Skace 16:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Wiki 1.12

  • Before anything however, it looks like updating to 1.12 final is a much safer bet as many of these things won't work properly without it. Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)

Tables

  • Found an awesome article on getting the common files and other stuff needed for navboxes etc here! Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)
  • Also talk about it here Skace 23:04, 29 May 2008 (CDT)
    • I have installed Common.css, can you check if it works correctly? Poromenos 10:55, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
      • Works flawlessly, check the warriors class page for an example of a wikitable sortable class. Skace 16:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
