Notes

  • First, you have to find Ben. He spawns in the Town of Solace, but often wanders into the Northern Plains, and sometimes the Graveyard or the Barren Peaks of Tahjliera. You can attempt to find him by "where Ben" or "where friend". You can track/hunt friend to find him.
  • Ben disarms and simultaneously sacrifices any weapons with the keywords "sword", "spear", "blade" or "dagger". This means that you must wear weapons without these keywords, such as the Maul of Stone, the tarrasque's horn, a dragon fang, Rod of Divinity, darkness, Lifebane, Skullbreaker, Skullcrusher or a beholder toothpick. Pick your choice.
  • The easy way to get yourself a Dragonslicer is to disarm Ben and then steal the (invisible) Dragonslicer. This is easily done with a fathomer/thief/vampire using disarm, flee, quit, then coming back to steal/pilfer. This leaves the next person who wants a Dragonslicer the same day the unfortunate choice of killing Ben once for nothing, or to wait until reboot.....but few people need it that desperately. However, even if you intend to kill Ben, he heals more, does more damage, and uses a prog more often if he has his weapon. So steal it anyway.
  • The rest of the kill is done using a barbarian, using the choke-flee-quit method. Be warned, that if Ben is in the Barren Peaks of Tahjliera, you risk fleeing into any nearby deathtraps.
  • He gouges, so make sure you have true sight on at all times, and just whittle his health away. He is also immune to magic.
  • If you'd prefer to kill him normally, Tokai's website has an info page on Ben.
  • When you kill him, if your barbarian has done the fighter set quest recently, the battle visor of the Dragonlord will also appear in his corpse.
